EXORCISM PROCESS
First and foremost the individual with the affliction must be evaluated by a Mental Health Professional to rule out any medical condition that could be mistaken for possession.
If mental health has been ruled out as a cause for the affliction or if the person has displayed evidence that contradicts the mental health evaluation such as: knowing facts or information that they were not or could not be aware of, speaking in other languages, extreme changes in diet, uncontrollable outburst around Christian symbols or Priests, Pasters, prayer, or breaking natural laws of physics (examples: levitation, unnatural reactions of pets or insects in their presence, changes in room temperature, etc.) Then the affected person may be eligible to move forward towards an Exorcism.
Next the family and/or the afflicted person will need be ready for a consultation to go over what will be expected during the Exorcism. Each situation is different but some of the things that will be discussed will be, regular pray by the Family/Possessed, sinful habits will need to be avoided, and decisions to ask God for forgiveness for past sins will be expected, and regular prayer for the deliverance of their loved one during the Exorcism process.
The Exorcism will undoubtedly take multiple days. There is no set timeframe that can be given to the family, and the family should be fully aware that this is a group effort. The dedication of the family to prayer and fasting will greatly effect the outcome and length of the Exorcism.
After the person has been freed from the possession there will need to be follow-up care and a understanding of what needs to be avoided in the future.
